The two things renters get wrong here
First, the licence. Driving in Indonesia on a foreign licence requires an International Driving Permit alongside it, or an Indonesian licence; a home licence alone is not sufficient and an insurer will treat a claim accordingly. Second, the car. A classic Mini is a small, old, manual, unassisted vehicle on roads with heavy scooter traffic — enormous fun, and genuinely demanding for a driver who has only driven modern automatics. We state both plainly on the booking pages, because a renter surprised by either is a renter with a problem.
What we verify on the vehicle and cover pages
Each car’s specification is written from the actual vehicle — engine, gearbox, whether air conditioning is fitted, luggage space with the rear seats up — rather than from a model brochure. Insurance pages state the cover in force, the excess, and the exclusions that most often bite, including the licence condition above. Where cover does not extend to a situation, the page says so instead of leaving it implied.

No mechanic or owner is named here, and no personal restoration record is asserted for anyone. Where a car has been restored, the page describes the work done and the date, not a person’s reputation.
